Nakita ko na yung trailer nya nung minsang binuksan ko yung TV namin para manood ng NBA sa Studio 23. Angel Locsin at si John Lloyd ang starring sa movie. Akala ko isang romantic love story ang palabas pero ganito yung reaction ko:

 

 

Hindi ko ineexpect na may mature content yung palabas pero pahapyaw lang. Paano na lang kayo sa mismo movie? For sure walang mga exposure ng mga kung ano-ano dyan dahil nga we’re known for being conservative. Hindi ko ineexpect na magkakaroon ng ganitong movie mula ng mawala ang mga Viva Hot Babes at kung ano-anong sexy-themed movies.

Parang Friends with Benefits talaga yung theme ng movie. Is this a desperation move ng mga movie producers dito sa ating bansa kasi hindi kumikita ang mga movies lalo na kung katapat nilang sa opening day eh mga bigating Hollywood movies? Kikita lang sila kapag Metro Manila Film Festival kasi sa pagkakaalam ko, bawal magpalabas ng mga foreign movies kapag MMFF.

Sa pagkadesperado pati ang conservative image sa mga romantic love story themed movies eh natanggal na. Tsk tsk tsk, wala na tayong magagawa kung ganito talaga ang gusto nila. Aminado ako, hindi ako nanonood ng mga Filipino movies dahil memorize ko na yung flow ng story, yan din ang problema kaya hindi kumikita ang mga Filipino movies dahil sa storyline, kulang ang thrill at walang dating yung mga artista kung minsan.

It’s just an opinion kaya wala dapat magalit.

Currently revising and adding some features in my Hospital Information System which was defended last thursday and given a verdict of minor revision which is good rather than getting a major revision.

I’m proud to myself because I did it all by myself and with a “little” help from my groupmates. I just finally proved to myself that I can do hard things all by myself and I’m planning to take Masters in Information Technology by the time I graduate from college.

I’m getting all my inspirations from the Engineering Team of Tumblr because I’m so inspired how they make Tumblr work flawlessly and the engineers (developers) are so cool, I check each of their blogs everytime I have a chance.

I wanted to work there but I have a very minimal chance of getting in. Well, just took a break and I’ll continue what I need to do. :)

Thesis

Kahapon nag-meeting kami para malaman kung sino ang mga mag-dedefense sa particular schedule na ibibigay. Buti na lang at hindi kami una nag mag-dedefense dahil pang-number 12 kami and we're (I am) schedule for defense on February 13.

Nag-evolve din pala yung title nung thesis namin from Patient Information System toHospital Information System. Hospital na, hindi na OPD kasi konti lang yung nalagay ko sa system na ginawa ko kaya dinagdagan ko na. So far, 55% completion rate na yung system kaya maaga akong natutulog, oo, maaga kasi 8 AM ako natutulog. hahahah.

Well, goodluck sa akin este sa amin for defense. :)

OPINION LANG PO! Uunahan ko na kayo dahil alam kong maraming fans ng mga K-Pop bands dito. Personal opinion ko lang po ang mga sasabihin ko, ok? Magagalit, baog.

Nanonood ako ng MYX noong isang araw dahil bagot-bagot na ako sa ginagawa kong thesis at naisip kong mag-unwind muna for several minutes at saktong segment ng MYX eh yung puro K-Pop bands / artists ang featured. "K-Pop nanaman? my gad." yan lang ang nasabi ko dahil wala na akong ibang mapanood dahil ayaw ko namang manood ng "too-much-over-rated/acting" na mga telenobela na halos pare-parehas ang flow ng kwento. Nagsimula na ang show at Super Junior ata yung unang video na pinalabas. At first ganito yung reaction (thru gif na lang kahit OA):

Habang tumatagal ang kanta, medyo masakit na yung tenga ko dahil hindi ko maintindihan yung kanta dahil sa Korean language yung kanta. May konting English na kahit bata eh kayang intindihin, my gallywaw. Gusto ko nang magwala sa naririnig ko kaya pinatay ko na lang yung TV.

Bumalik ako sa harap ng laptop at nag-radio live streaming na lang ako. 90.7 Love Radio ako nakikinig dahil na rin kay Papa Jack. Pinapatugtug yung "Heaven by your Side" ng A1, by the way kung sino man ang hindi nakakaalam kung sino ang mga members ng A1 eh i-search nyo na lang kay Pareng Google. Soothing, relaxing at nakakawala ng stress dahil ramdam mo at naiintindihan mo yung mensahe nung kanta, hindi gaya ng mga K-Pop na kailangan mo pang pumunta sa translate.google.com para malaman kung anong kabalbalan ang sinasabi ng mga lokong iyon.

1. Gwapo / Maganda ang mga members.
2. more than 2 sila (kaya nga band/group nga eh)
3. sumasayaw at
4. pinagkakaguluhan.

Difference: 

1. K-Pop: naiintindihan, 90's: naiintindihan, mararamdaman mo ang sense ng kanta

Batang 90's ako at namulat ako sa mga foreign boy bands at super-duper sikat na pinagkakaguluhan ng mga kakababaihan noong araw (noong araw talaga ang term, parang ang tanda ko na.).

Some Random Post

Halos 10 minuto akong nakatanga sa harap ng laptop na ito at sa page na ito (Add Text Page). Weird, may gusto akong ilagay pero hindi ko alam kung ano yung ilalagay ko. Maraming bagay ang tumatakbo ngayon sa isip ko kaso hindi ko alam kung ano ang uunahin kong gawin o ayusin. Weird talaga. Kulang lang ba ako sa tulog kaya ganito ako? Ang sagot, hindi naman. Kahit 5 o'clock in the morning na ako natutulog eh nagigising naman ako ng 1 PM which is ayos na sa akin dahil disente na kung makakuha na ako ng 8 hours na tulog.


Pressure, yan siguro ang isa sa mga bagay na iniisip ko ngayon? Bakit? graduating student na ako at lahat ng mga tao sa paligid ko ay mataas ang expectations sa akin kahit noong bata ako mataas talaga expectation nila sa akin kasi siguro lahi ng matatalino ang angkan namin pero wala akong pakialam, happy-go-lucky ang drama ko sa buhay pero pressure talaga. promise.


Thesis, isa pa yan. 4 members in a group pero ang situation namin ako lang ang nagtra-trabaho in terms of documentation and programming ng system. Hindi ako maka-reklamo dahil siguro nga mabait ako. I just translated a PHP code to a Javascript code.

This is the PHP code that I’ve made as a basis.

the function of this script is to calcute the age of the user provided by the date of birth.

This is my javascript/jQuery code which calculates the age of the user:

after the user inputted the date of birth, this script would be triggered by the blur function and calculates the age of the user and once the script calculated the age, the age would automatically show on the age text field that I’ve created.

Thesis Project

Confused because I don't know what will be the project that I will make for our Capstone Project aka Thesis making. Brutal daw ang thesis namin dahil kailangan maganda daw ang gawa namin para maganda yung maipakita nung department namin para sa accreditation.


95% sure ako na ang gagamitin kong programming language is PHP dahil medyo master ko na itong language na ito pero to be honest nasa Intermediate level pa lang ako at hindi ko pa ka-level si Mark Zuckerberg in terms of programming pero i'm working (before) a social networking site pero hindi ko na natuloy dahil busy sa OJT.


So far, eto yung mga naiisip kong gawin na system which is web-based:


System para sa isang hospital (Computer Aided Instruction or Information System or a Billing System)
System para sa isang agency ng government like Payroll System, Information/Database System or i-automated yung mga process nila.
System para sa isang school at gawing automated ang kanilang enrollment
Or i-improve ang isang existing system
Wala na akong maisip dahil yung mga gusto ko SANA eh kailangang sa ibang language ko gawin like VB.net, C# or .NET framework languages.


Kung may naiisip man kayo eh suggest lang kayo.

Thesis Grouping

Thesis making na this semester at excited ako dahil challenge ito sa akin dahil kailangan kong gumawa ng paraan para lang mai-defend yung gagawin namin na thesis. By the way, grouped ang thesis namin, minimum of 2 at maximum of 4. Natuwa naman ako sa number of members per group pero eto na ang problema ko,


MARAMING MAY GUSTONG KUMUHA SA AKIN SA GROUP NILA!


Aaminin ko, I can program and do some documentations at konting common sense and hindi ko alam kung yan ba ang kailangan nila sa ka-grupo nila o sadyang gusto lang nilang may gagawa sa thesis ng group namin na mag-isa? Weird talaga at iniisip ko na kung pwede mag-individual dahil na-trauma na ako sa nangyari sa akin noong 3rd Year, 1st semester kung saan ako yung leader, ako yung nag-program sa system, ako gumawa nung documentation at AKO LANG ANG BUMAGSAK SA GRUPO NAMIN!.


Sino ba naman ang hindi ma-trautrauma sa ganyang sitwasyon at ngayon ko lang talaga nalaman na KAIBIGAN MO LANG PALA SILA KUNG MAY KAILANGAN SILA SA’YO.


Pag-iisipan ko pa kung ano ang gagawin ko tungkol sa grouping na yan.

PHL among least IT-competitive countries — survey

An international survey has ranked the Philippines among the countries with the lowest competitiveness in the field of information technology (IT).


In the recently released IT Industry Competitiveness Index, which measures the extent by which countries are capable of supporting a strong IT production sector, the Philippines ranked 52nd out of 66 countries. 


The Philippines, together with Bangladesh, also received a zero grade in terms of creating an environment for Research and Development (R&D) in the IT industry. The United States, Finland, and Singapore topped the index.


The IT Industry Competitiveness Index survey was conducted by the Economist Intelligence Unit of the Business Software Alliance (BSA).


No surprise


Economist Cid Terosa from the University of the Asia and the Pacific said it was “not surprising" for the Philippines to have low rankings in IT competitiveness.


“There are no highly trained IT professionals here. We also have very low allocations for IT. Sa budget, palaging naiiwan ito because it is not an immediate priority," he said in a phone interview with GMA News Online Monday.


He added that the administration of President Benigno Aquino III has yet to tap public-private partnerships (PPP) to improve the country’s IT infrastructure.


“Sad to say, wala ito sa list of PPP project. Ang mga nandoon lang ay education projects and other infrastructure," Terosa said.


Terosa said that the government should invest in IT to respond to the demands of the modern world. “We are in the age of information technology. IT should really be a priority, especially training IT professionals," he said.


Increase funding


Senator Edgardo Angara, chairman of the Senate science and technology committee, explained that there is a need to increase government funding to build the country's capacity to innovate for development.


He pointed out that although the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) recommends countries to spend at least one percent of their respective total Gross Domestic Product (GDP) for R&D, the Philippine government had spent in 2009 a meager 0.12 percent of GDP for R&D.


“We have a lot of catching up to do," he said.


Angara said he will push for at least P322 million in dedicated funding for "innovation clusters" when Congress resumes plenary deliberations on the proposed 2012 national budget in November.


He explained that clusters will bring together the academe, industry, and government into groups that will adapt and develop usable technologies to address the country's pressing challenges on food security, climate change, energy use, and sustainable exploitation of resources.


"[The] P322 million is still far inadequate but it is a good start as it amounts to dedicated and pure R&D funding," Angara said. 


"The government can no longer afford to be a passive actor here. It must be the source of change. It should provide the impetus to industry and academe to come together in collaborative work. The government must demonstrate that it can lead the country's R&D efforts in a decisive, single-minded and purposeful way," he added.

Who Is Your Audience?

Understanding the type of people who visit your site is a very
important task because you can use that information to enhance your
site to suit them. As a result, you will gain more loyal returning
visitors that come back again and again for more.


What is the age level and what kind of knowledge does your audience
have? A layman might linger around a general site on gardening, but
a professional botanist might turn his nose at the very same site.
Similarly, a regular person will leave a site filled with astronomy
abstracts but a well educated university graduate will find that
site interesting.


Take your audience's emotional state into consideration when
building your site. If a very irritated visitor searches for a
solution and comes across your site, you will want to make sure you
offer the solution right up front and sell or promote your product
to him second. In this way, the visitor will put his trust in you
for offering the solution to his problems and is more likely to buy
your product when you offer it to him after that.


When you design the layout for your site, you have to take into
account the characteristics of your audience. Are they old or young
people? Are they looking for trends or are they just looking for
information served without any icing on the cake? For example,
introducing a new, exciting game with a simple, straightforward
black text against white background page will definitely turn
prospects away. Make sure your design suits your site's general
theme.


Try to sprinkle colloquial language in your sites sparingly where
you see fit and you will create a sense that your audience is on
common ground with you. This in turn builds a trusting relationship
between you and your audience, which will come in useful should you
want to market a product to your audience.

Buhay Graduating Student (1st Semester)

Mahirap pala ang maging isang graduating student. Hindi biro ang hirap na kailangan mong gawin para lang makapasa ng mga requirements na sobrang demanding dahil it's PASS or FAIL ang kalalabasan.
1st Semester pa lang, hirap na ako lalo na yung bandang patapos na dahil nga sa mga requirements. Mostly ng mga courses eh ang OJT ay sa 2nd Semester pero iba sa amin dahil mas konti ang holidays (daw) sa 1st semester at para mahabol namin ang 680 hours na kailangan namin tapusin. Nag-OJT ako sa school na rin namin kasi hindi ako pinayagan na mag-OJT sa labas dahil may hindi pa akong nakuhang subject salamat sa bagsak ko na subject noong 3rd year ako pero maganda naman yung binigay sa akin na office dahil in-assign ako sa Systems Administration. Demanding yung pinagawa sa akin na system dahil isang Ticketing System ang ginawa ko at akala ko noong una eh baka hindi ko matapos pero as of the moment 98% na syang gumagana at nagagamit na nung office namin yung system. Iba pa yung requirements ng office sa requirements nung subject dahil kailangan kong gumawa ng daily journal (or parang Dear Diary ang drama) dahil kailangan daw nilang malaman kung may ginagawa at kung may natutunan kami pero hindi ko masyado nagawa yun dahil masyadong toxic yung system na ginawa ko.

Nag-enjoy lang ako sa pinapagawa sa akin dahil ang dami kong natutunan in-terms of programming (PHP, SQL, Javascript at jQuery yung mga language na ginamit ko) at networking dahil mostly ng ginagawa ng mga boss ko eh sa network connections ng Internet sa aming campus. Toxic pero enjoy dahil hindi naman istrikto yung mga boss ko at mababait sila.
Dumating ang October at naalala namin na may mga requirements na kailangang gawin kaya dahil dyan at salamat sa aming pagiging utak-Pinoy, ginawa namin lahat ng mga requirements namin last last week at this week yung deadline. Revisions dito, revisions dyan. Gastos dito, gastos dyan. Problema dito, problema dyan. Sumagi na rin sa isip ko na sumuko na pero kailangan kong tapusin ito dahil gusto kong maka-graduate na matapos na ito.
After naming gumastos ng halos Php 5000, nag-sayang ng almost 1000 pages ng coupon bond, 190 hours of total hours of sleep last week at this week at halos masiraan ng ulo, tapos na rin ang paghihirap namin dahil isang requirement na lang yung kailangan na lang namin at tapos na sya!

Totoo nga yung sinabi ko pero mag-eenjoy muna akong matulog, kumain, procrastinate at gawin lahat ng gusto ko dahil baka hindi ko na magawa yan next sem.
